16.12.2007 - BRIDLINGTON AND DISTRICT OPEN SHOW

RUBY AND PENNY ATTENDED THEIR FIRST DOG SHOW ON SUNDAY 16 DECEMBER 2007 AGED 6 MONTHS ON THAT DAY.  

RUBY WAS BEST ENGLISH SETTER PUPPY IN SHOW.  PENNY GOT A 3RD PRIZE IN HER CLASS.

THEY WERE BOTH VERY WELL BEHAVED (FOR A CHANGE!) AND WE WERE PLEASED WITH THEM, UNTIL WE GOT BACK TO THE CAR TO FIND SOMEONE HAD CHEWED THROUGH THEIR LEAD.

27.01.2008 - MIDLAND ENGLISH SETTER SOCIETY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW (Mrs Joyce Dunks)

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (6 TO 9 MONTHS) - OUT OF A STRONG CLASS OF 14 BOTH RUBY AND PENNY WERE PULLED OUT TO THE LAST 7.  ANDREW WAS SHOWING RUBY AND SUZANNE PENNY SO WE WERE UP AGAINST EACH OTHER !!   RUBY WAS PLACED 5TH (VHC). PENNY DIDN'T GET ANY FURTHER THAN THE LAST 7.

3.02.2008 - PONTEFRACT OPEN SHOW (Avril Knox)

PUPPY - (3 IN THE CLASS)    PENNY 1ST AND BEST ENGLISH SETTER PUPPY IN SHOW, RUBY 2ND

17.2.2008 - LEICESTER GUNDOG SOCIETY OPEN SHOW (Gloria Taylor)

JUNIOR (6 TO 18 MONTHS)- (9 IN THE CLASS) PENNY 3RD AND RUBY 5TH.  THIS MEANT PENNY WAS BEST ENGLISH SETTER PUPPY IN SHOW.   THEY BOTH BEAT OTHER DOGS MUCH OLDER THAN THEY ARE.

24.02.2008 - YORKSHIRE GUNDOG (Amanda Golby)

PUPPY - RUBY 1ST AND BEST ENGLISH SETTER PUPPY IN SHOW, PENNY 3RD.                                                

08.03.2008 - CRUFTS (J Spencer)

13 in the class, Blue not placed unfortunately.  She stood and moved well for Andrew.  You may be interested to know that the English Setter bitch who won best of breed is also a "Ravensett" and is litter sister to Blue's mum. 

15.03.2008 - OTLEY CANINE SOCIETY (Mike Wainwright)

PUPPY CLASS - PENNY 2ND, RUBY 3RD.

8.05.2008 - BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW (Hilda Parkinson)

PUPPY CLASS - PENNY 3RD  - 10 in the class  RUBY not placed today.  This is a qualifying show for Crufts and means that Penny is now qualified for Crufts 2009.

25.05.2008 - MIDLAND ENGLISH SETTER SOCIETY OPEN SHOW (Alex Wrobel)

PUPPY CLASS - PENNY 3RD, RUBY 4TH

7.06.2008 - BEVERLEY CANINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW

JUNIOR - PENNY 1ST - Best Puppy in Breed, and Best of Breed  RUBY 2ND

9.06.2008 - THREE COUNTIES CH SHOW (John Barber)

PUPPY CLASS (9 in class) - RUBY VHC, Penny not placed.  It was a very hot day and hard for the dogs.

15.06.2008 - BORDER UNION CH SHOW (Ann Webster)

PUPPY CLASS - (5)  RUBY 2nd - This means Ruby has now qualified for Crufts 2009.   Penny was shown in the Puppy stakes class instead but unfortunately was not placed - there were over 100 entries in that class !

Take a look at this website for 2 of Lucy's puppies who have gone to a super english setter home in the Lake District - www.ninagreen.co.uk  Nina is a lovely lady and along with her husband have given the 2 girls a home any setter would wish for. Spoilt rotten!
